Monday Made It.

Friday, when the little man was napping, I got lots of fun stuff done!

Take a looksie.

Here are my little table buckets I started last week by adding ribbon to them.  Friday I cut out the tags and vinyl numbers on my Cricut.  I haven't laminated them yet, so I just stuck them on temporarily for the pics.  :)  I think they turned out cute!  I made 6, because I usually have no more than 6 table groups. These will hold our community markers.  Does it bother you that the font of the numbers is different on each side?  I can't decide.  But I like both fonts.  And they're already made.  LOL.

The other side:

I bought the polka dotted paper plates at Dollar Tree.  SCORE.  Then I cut out the background borders and vinyl letters on my Cricut and stuck them down.  Again, still have to laminate the letters.

I'll display my CAFE subheadings under these letters.

I bought these cute little buckets at Target (dollar spot) a couple of weeks ago.
I cut out the vinyl letters on my Cricut, and I already had the sticker gems/jewels and just stuck them on to jazz them up.  I also added a few black polka dots with a Sharpie.

I decided to stagger the letters because I KNEW I wouldn't get them perfectly straight!
What do you think?  I can't decide if the jewels and dots make it too busy.

I actually bought some super cute pencil cups last year, but now they don't match my new color scheme!!  I'll probably gift them to another teacher, because they are very cute.  :)

I'd love to know your thoughts and/or suggestions!
Happy Monday!  I'm sad I only have a few more weeks with my baby before back to work.  :(

Of course, I'm linking up over at 4th Grade Frolics!  I hope you'll stop over and check out everyone's fun creations!  I've gotten so much inspiration from everyone's ideas.

    1. Glad to know I'm not the only one, lol! I had an old teammate who hung the posters in her room diagonally b/c she couldn't stand if they weren't perfectly straight! (I'm not that bad, lol.)

    1. Thanks, they are my fave colors! They were my wedding colors, and they are in my son's nursery, too, just with royal blue added in! I guess you could say I kinda like them, LOL. I like the way the plates turned out! Trying to think of other ways to use them since I only used 4! Maybe a welcome banner or something?

    1. Thanks! My room the past 5 years has had a lot of teal and lime green, but also tons of other colors and all mismatched containers. I'm trying to stick with just teal, lime and black this year. We'll see how it goes. :)

  7. I love the pencil containers! I made some paper labels for mine but I know they won't hold up. I think a visit to Hobby Lobby for some Cricut vinyl is in order. Thanks for sharing your creations, they're great!

  8. Those are adorable! They match the colors of your blog too!

I think I might need a Cricut but I have no idea about how much it costs and exactly how it works. I would love for you to tell me more. =)

    1. I got this Cricut from my babysitter--she gave it to me because she got the bigger one and hasn't used this one in years. I think they are pretty pricey, but maybe check Amazon? It's pretty awesome, though. Kinda like an electronic die cut machine! You put your paper down on the mat and slide it into the machine, then you type in on the keypad what shapes or letters you want to cut, choose the size, and press CUT. Voila! It's really pretty awesome. :) The cartridges are pricey (around $50), but Joann's and Michael's take turns having them on sale for $30.

  9. Love the buckets!
Thanks for commenting on my Made It Monday!
Painting cabinets is not difficult, just time consuming. Its a great summer project. I have complicated cabinets with layers of stain and paint as well as a detail moulding, so I had to use paint stripper. That just added more time to the process. If you have simple cabinets, it will go faster. I went with just using a paint brush, so the paint conditioner I mentioned would have given extra time to brush on paint before it started to dry. (Several of my cabinets have brush marks.) Every single minute of stripping, sanding, and painting was worth it, though, when I walk if my kitchen and see those great looking cabinets! A DIY project!
